pet microchipping
WHAT WOULD YOU DO IF YOU LOST YOUR PET?
Verrad Labradors offers an insured, vet trained, pet microchipping service (dogs, cats and small furry animals), in conjunction with Petlog who are the UK's largest pet microchipping database, managed by the Kennel Club. You can be assured, with Petlog, that if the worst should happen, you have the best possible support to get your lost pet back home safely.
WHAT IS A MICROCHIP?
A tiny, glass, inert capsule the size of a grain of rice containing an identification number linking you to your pet.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
If the unthinkable happens and your pet wanders way a vet, rescue centre or dog warden will use a small hand-held scanner to detect the microchip number. This number is registered with Petlog, the national central database run by the Kennel Club. Petlog will confirm your details and you will be reunited with your pet.
WHERE IS THE IMPLANT SITE:
Under the skin between the shoulder blades.
TRAVEL PLANS?
If you plan to travel abroad your pet MUST have a microchip in order to comply with the regulations.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
For one pet: £15
For two pets: £25
More than two (litters): £10 each
ANY ENQUIRIES ABOUT PET MICROCHIPPING, PLEASE CONTACT VERRAD LABRADORS. IF YOU FIND AN ANIMAL, PLEASE CONTACT US AS WE CAN SCAN PETS TO ESTABLISH IF THEY ARE REPORTED LOST/STOLEN.
